Socially Orcward is Book 3 in the Adventures in Aguillon series by Lisa Henry & Sarah Honey and it's hilariously funny, amazing, wonderful, and sweet! You should read the first two books because these are some wonderful characters and you'll die laughing.Socially Orcward (love the title!) is told from Dave and Simon's POV and the events occur almost at the same time as what Benji and Calarian encounter in Elf Defense. Dave is a happy, cheerful orc who just wants to raise dragons and find more dragon eggs with his best friend, Pie, in their tower. Words confuse him but all Dave needs are his dragons and Pie until he meets the newest kitchen boy, Simon, who also loves dragons. Simon is also hiding a horrible secret and really hopes nobody finds out.As he gets closer to Dave and Pie, Simon finds himself struggling to do what is right. Both of them find their person and are happy being together without all that sex thing that gets others in a tizzy. Truffles, custard pies, and roly poly puddings would be better :) I loved the ace representation and of course, Dave the friendliest of orcs would be asexual ;) It was wonderful seeing Dave find his person and of course, the Kings of Aguillon helped nudge both of them along. It was wonderful returning to Aguillon and seeing some familiar faces like Loth, Quinn, Ada, Greylord, and even Scott (as annoying as he was). Simon, Dave, and their dragons get their HEA and fans of the Aguillon series will love Socially Orcward! An Ork named Dave (sounds like the first line of a joke). Anyway...Dave is happy being an Orc. He has dear friends, dragons (and eggs) and a finger dragon named Pie. So what if he has trouble with words of more than one syllable or that he’s tall and green, he’s happy, mostly. Then he met Simon, a man who loved his dragons and made his stomach feel all fluttery (indigestion maybe)?This series has been such a delight. Happily full of silly conversations and this book had the best dragons. Each person was a delight (even the bad guys). All together they made up a very talented cast of characters that even Scott couldn’t write a bad story about (and he was just a side-kicker).I loved that Dave and Simon got their happy ever after (without all the squishy stuff).The authors imaginations worked overtime on this story. Purely delightful.
